For Gambians abroad

Family and property in plain sight, while you're away.

A documented watch service in The Gambia. Visits with photos, a short video, and a voice note from me — every time. Same person, same number, every visit.

The distance

Watching a build, a renovation, a tenant, an elderly parent, a second home sitting empty, a shop or office you never visit, land you never walk, or a loved one you mostly reach by phone from far away — with no real updates, no photos, and no one you can hold to account.

That's what Steady. fixes.

How a visit works

You shouldn't have to wonder what happened.

01 — Before

We agree the brief on WhatsApp.

What we're watching, who's involved, what worries you. I'll tell you exactly what each visit will cover.

Same number every time
02 — On the day

I show up in person.

No sub-contractors, no call centre. I sit with your parent, I walk the property, I talk to the tenant.

Mon–Sun, daylight
03 — The report

Photos, a short video, a voice note.

Sent on WhatsApp within 24 hours of the visit. You hear my actual voice telling you how it went.

Within 24 hours
04 — If something's wrong

You hear it from me first.

Before the tenant calls, before a relative calls. I tell you, I tell you what I think we should do, then we decide.

Owner, Steady

One person, on the ground

This is me, not a company.

I live and work in The Gambia. When you ask me to check on a house in Bakau or sit with your mother for an hour in Brikama, it's me going — not a sub-contractor, not a call centre.

You get the same number every time. Photos and a voice note after every visit. If something is wrong, you hear it from me before you hear it from anyone else.

"Steady" is the promise — calm, present, accountable.
The questions everyone asks

Plain answers, before you message.

How do I pay you from abroad?
I care more about what is easy on your side than about one fixed method. Many people already use Sendwave, MoneyGram, Western Union, or a similar remittance service — we can use that. If your bank can send an international transfer to a Gambian account, that works too. Tell me what you normally use and we choose that. If you are not sure what is simplest from where you are, say so on WhatsApp and I will suggest one. I send the exact details once we have agreed the work. No card-on-file, no subscription billing.
How do I know the visit actually happened?
Every visit comes back with timestamped photos, a short video walk-through, and a voice note from me — sent on WhatsApp within 24 hours. If a visit can't happen for a reason (weather, illness), I tell you the same day and we either reschedule or refund.
Do you cover areas outside Greater Banjul?
The core service area is Banjul, Serekunda, Bakau, Brikama and the coastal stretch. For upcountry visits (Basse, Soma, Janjanbureh) we align travel time and scope on WhatsApp before I go. Just ask.
What if I want to start with a single visit?
That's what One-off tasks are for — scope agreed up front on WhatsApp, then I go. Most clients begin this way: a single check on a house, a parent, or a piece of land. Many then ask me to keep going on a regular rhythm.
Can I cancel or pause if we've arranged regular visits?
Yes — any time, no notice period, no penalty. Just message me on WhatsApp. If we've already agreed visits in a given stretch, those still happen unless you tell me otherwise.
Which languages do you work in?
I speak English, Wolof, and Mandinka, and a little Fula. Voice notes and written reports are in English by default — tell me if you'd prefer Wolof. If you need another language on the ground, I can arrange a trusted native speaker — mention it when you book.
